  • Director of Advancement

    Reports to: Head of School

    Job Summary:     

    The Director of Advancement will lead the development, implementation, and fulfillment of Emery/Weiner School’s strategic initiatives and philanthropic goals. Reporting to the Head of School and a member of the Head’s Senior Leadership Team, this role has a unique opportunity to significantly impact and support the school’s mission. The Director will provide senior level leadership and strategic vision to an accomplished advancement team that manages and implements schoolwide fundraising initiatives and marketing and communications.  
     
    The Director of Advancement will lead the strategic planning for principal and major gifts, collaborate with the Head of School and key volunteers to prepare for and conduct donor solicitations, and engage and cultivate potential donors. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be responsible for sustaining and strengthening the school’s comprehensive annual giving program. The Director must comprehend the advantages of an independent school education and be able to effectively communicate the school's mission, vision, and programs to internal and external audiences.

    The Upper School Head at The Emery/Weiner School provides dynamic, strategic, and student-centered leadership for all aspects of the upper school program (grades 9-12). This role involves managing academic, social, and emotional programs, supporting faculty, and engaging with families to build a nurturing and innovative learning environment. The Upper School Head is a key member of the school’s senior leadership team, contributing to the school’s overall strategic goals, with a particular focus on fostering a culture of inclusivity, intellectual curiosity, and personal growth.

    The Emery/Weiner School seeks a dynamic, innovative, and collegial Hebrew Teacher to join our collaborative faculty beginning in the Fall of 2025. Responsibilities include teaching five sections of Hebrew and serving as an advisor, as well as participation in student life, coaching, and chaperoning duties according to the experience of the candidate and needs of the school. The ideal applicant is an enthusiastic professional with a broad range of subject knowledge and previous secondary school teaching experience. The teacher will also work closely with members of the staff to provide an inspiring and motivational Jewish learning environment.

    Job Summary:
    The Emery/Weiner School seeks innovative, energetic, and dedicated Substitute Teachers. Substitute positions are available for daily and long-term assignments. The Emery/Weiner School offers instruction in many subjects, including: Math, Science, Technology, Performing & Visual Arts, Judaic Studies, Language Arts, Social Science, World Languages; including Spanish and Hebrew language instruction and seeks Substitute Teachers in each discipline. Substitute Teacher hours vary but will generally be between the hours of 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.
