The Emery/Weiner School is committed to comprehensive, whole-child education through its Fine Arts Department. Training in art, music, and theatre are offered, not only for students considering potential careers in those areas, but for all students to garner the essential life skills obtained through these valuable disciplines. Through the Fine Arts, students gain confidence, improve their organizational abilities, enhance leadership and teamwork skills, and gain a deeper understanding of commitment, both to themselves and to their collaborators.
In addition to five mainstage theatre productions, Senior Directed Projects, involvement in TAPPS competitions, ISAS Arts Fest, and the Tommy Tune Awards; each year, the Fine Arts Department presents its spring Evening of the Arts to showcase the talents of students throughout the department. The evening includes an exhibition of student work in various two and three-dimensional media, as well as vocal, instrumental, and theatrical performances.
